According to the sources, the Congress leader is expected to cover more than 50km, starting from Moga to Patiala, over three days starting from Sunday in Punjab, followed by two day march in Haryana till October 6.
During the three day protest, Rahul Gandhi will lead the party’s tractor rally in Moga, Ludhiana, Sangrur, and Patiala districts of the Malwa region, covering more than 50 km, the spokesperson said. The rallies are scheduled to begin at 11 am on each of the three days, and will adhere to Covid-19 guidelines.
The Congress leader will be accompanied by chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh along with all party ministers, MPs, and MLAs. All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary in-charge of party affairs in Punjab, Harish Rawat, and state party president Sunil Jakhar are also expected to participate in the protest rallies.
As soon as the photos of the custom-made tractors for the Congress's tractor rally in Punjab came out, the leaders were seen sitting comfortable on sofa-like seats of the tractors which were specially put up for the leaders and ministers.
As the pictures from the rally started circulating on the social media platforms, few BJP leaders and netizens took a dig at the Congress campaign as tractors usually come without comfortable seats except for the driver.
