Punjab Congress Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu called Delhi CM and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal a "scamster" who is trying to tick the electorates by weaving a "hybrid model of fake news."
New Delhi: Ahead of the Punjab assembly elections 2022, the sparring round of political accusations has been intensified. In a form of dissension, Punjab Congress Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu called Delhi CM and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal a "scamster" who is trying to tick the electorates by weaving a "hybrid model of fake news."
While accusing Kejriwal of being a "masquerader" trying to fake a perception, Sidhu said, "Arvind Kejriwal launched a number for (AAP) CM face and said he received about 21 lakh messages... Even if it's 24*7. a pvt number won't receive over 5000 messages or calls. It's a scam to trick people."
"Arvind Kejriwal is a 'scamster'. Congress has complained over this issue to Election Commission...A show-cause notice has been sent today. He's trying to befool the people of Punjab through his dirty tricks...AAP has created a hybrid model of fake news," he further added.

AAP and Congress leaders have been engaged in a war of words as the former looks to dethrone the latter, emerging as the ruling party's most prominent challenger.
Similarly, earlier this month, Senior Akali politician Bikram Singh Majithia also slammed Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and the Congress, only days after a large quantity of cash was recovered from his nephew's home during ED searches.
He also alleged his involvement in illicit sand mining in his Rupnagar district seat of Chamkaur Sahib and urged a CBI investigation, PTI reported.
