Puja Khedkar Controversy: An inquiry has been ordered against the doctors and other officials who allegedly issued fake disability certificates to IAS Puja Khedkar. Based on instructions from the State Commissioner Office For Persons With Disabilities in Pune, the Pune Collectorate ordered an investigation against those, including the doctors of YCM Hospital in Pimpri Chinchwad, who helped Puja.

YCM Hospital issued the disability certificate to Puja Khedkar, which stated that Puja had a permanent disability of 7% in her left knee. Puja obtained a disability certificate from the Central Disability Department on the basis of this certificate.

If found guilty in the investigation, a case will be filed against the doctor who issued the disability certificate as well as every person who helped. The possibility of a racket providing such certificates will also be probed.

ABP News reached out to YCM Hospital for its reaction to the development, but the authorities declined to comment.

Puja Khedkar Controversies

IAS Puja Khedkar and her family have been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Puja Khedkar has come under fire for allegedly falsifying documents to clear the UPSC exams. Khedkar, who was transferred from Pune to Washim amid suspicions of abusing her authority, has been accused of submitting fake certificates claiming disability.

Khedkar's actions drew attention when she was spotted using a private vehicle equipped with a red-blue beacon and VIP number plate, typically reserved for high-ranking officials. Further investigation revealed that she may have also exploited loopholes in the system by submitting a document purporting to show mental illness and claiming to be visually impaired.

As a result, Khedkar has been reassigned to the Washim district for training, after which she would serve as a "supernumerary assistant collector" till July 30. Puja Khedkar is said to be "untraceable" now.

Her parents are also in trouble. While her mother Manorama is in police custody in an Arms Act case, her father is being investigated in a disproportionate assets case.
