Chandigarh: Delhi Cheif Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal, on Tuesday, claimed that at least 25 MLAs of the ruling Congress in Punjab are in touch with his party, but he is not willing to add 'junk' into his party.

"Several MLAs from Congress are in touch with us. But we do not want to take their junk. I assure you that if we start taking their junk, we will have 25 MLAs and two-three MPs from Congress by today evening," Kejriwal said while addressing a presser ahead of Punjab Assembly elections scheduled to take place in early 2022.

Kejriwal further said that only two from AAP have left while several from Congress are ready to join us, but we do not want to get into dirty politics.

In his address, Kejriwal further accused Congress of looting the treasure of Punjab. He said that Congress looted Punjab for 5 years and now says that the state treasury is empty.

The AAP chief questioned who emptied the treasury when it was Congress' government in the state for 5 years adding that he knows how to investigate and to replenish the empty treasury.

Kejriwal also spoke about bringing radical changes in the education system in Punjab.

Furthermore, Delhi CM also promised to provide permanent jobs to contract teachers, make transfer policies transparent, fill up all vacant positions of teachers, provide teachers training abroad, timely promotion and cashless treatment.
