Delhi Police on Wednesday received two PCR calls threatening to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Delhi Police on Wednesday received two PCR calls threatening to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish kumar. A team has been deployed to locate the caller who has been identified as Sudheer Sharma, a resident of Madipur constituency in Delhi. "Promptly responding to the alarming calls, a team was swiftly deployed to trace the location of the anonymous caller," a senior police official was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

According to the police, the accused is a habitual drinker and may have been inebriated while making the call.

Police has launched a comprehensive investigation and is trying to trace the whereabouts of the person.

This is not the first time that the Delhi police has received such a call. Last month, it apprehended a man for making a PCR call and allegedly warning of a threat to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The caller identified as Hemant Kumar was a resident of Raigar Pura in Karol Bagh.

"After receiving the PCR call on Thursday night, a police team was dispatched to the spot. Kumar was brought to the police station and a joint interrogation was conducted," said Pranav Tayal, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi), as reported by IANS.

According to Tayal, the accused was unemployed for the last six years and was in a habit of drinking. While making the call kumar was under the influence of alcohol, he further said.
