New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Varanasi on March 4 and 5th to campaign for BJP ahead of the seventh & final phase of UP assembly elections 2022.


BJP’s Varanasi city president Vidyasagar Rai said on Wednesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will conduct a roadshow in the urban area of ​​Varanasi on March 4 and the next day he will address a public meeting in Khajuri village in Rajatalab.

Rai said according to the programme, the roadshow of the prime minister will cover the assembly segments of Varanasi Cantonment, Varanasi North, and Varanasi South. The Prime Minister will start the roadshow by garlanding the statue of Sardar Patel at the Maldiha intersection.


PM Modi will also visit the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and offer prayers, he said. On the second day of his stay in Varanasi, Modi will address a public meeting in Khajuri village in Rajatalab, Rai added. 



Polling for the last phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election will be held on March 7 and the results will be declared three days later.


People from all rural areas of Varanasi Vidhan Sabha are expected to participate in the public meeting. Rai said that preparations are in full swing for the Prime Minister's two-day program in Varanasi.


The roadshow will start at the PM's visit to Sardar Patel's statue on which he will put a garland in Maldiha at around 4:00 PM. The roadshow will end by going to Lahurabir, Kabir Chaura, Lohatia, Bulanala, Maidagin, Chowk, Vishwanath Dham, Bansphatak and Godauliya. The Prime Minister is also likely to attend the evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, the Prime Minister can watch the Ganga Aarti on a cruise.


PM Modi will hold a rally at Mirzapur today. He will address a public meeting in Barkachha at 12 noon today, PM Modi will hold joint rallies for the five Vidhan Sabhas of Mirzapur district. Union Minister of State Anupriya Patel from Apna Dal will join PM Modi in the rally along with BJP's National General Secretary Arun Singh, Law Minister Brijesh Pathak will be present.
