People across the globe are celebrating the Christmas festivities as they wait for another year to pass and welcome 2023 with hope, love, and a smile. Joining the bandwagon, Indian leaders have also extended their wishes on the occasion of Christmas.  


President Droupadi Murmu took to Twitter and said, “Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas! On this day, let us remember the message of kindness and brotherhood given by Jesus Christ. May we spread joy and positivity and have the spirit of compassion towards fellow beings and the environment.” 






Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings and emphasised recalling the noble thoughts of Lord Christ 


“Merry Christmas! May this special day further the spirit of harmony and joy in our society. We recall the noble thoughts of Lord Christ and the emphasis on serving society, the PM wrote on Twitter. 






Wishing everyone on the occasion, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, “Greetings to everyone on the occasion of Christmas. May everyone be happy, healthy, and prosperous. May there be peace and harmony all around. Merry Christmas!” 






Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, who is leading the Bharat Jodo Yatra, said, “Merry Christmas to everyone! May this festive season embrace you all with the joys of love & laughter.” 






Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also wished people on the occasion of Christmas stating that the festival gives hope to strengthen the values of brotherhood, tolerance, and caring. 


“The festival of Christmas gives hope to strengthen the values of brotherhood, tolerance and caring. May this joyous occasion bring happiness and prosperity to all. Merry Christmas everyone!”, he said.
