Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde greeted former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray a happy birthday on Wednesday, writing that he prays to Jagadamba for a long and healthy life.

Shinde and Uddhav have been at odds since Shinde's mutiny against Uddhav, which resulted in the fall of the Maha Vikas Aghadi administration.

Taking to Twitter, CM Shinde writes, "Happy Birthday to Hon'ble Shri Uddhavji Thackeray, Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra. May you have a long and healthy life, pray at the feet of Mother Jagdamba...."

In the midst of a court battle, Uddhav Thackeray has launched an all-out attack on Shinde and his group of MLAs for betraying him.

Uddhav Thackeray stated in an interview with party MP and executive editor of Saamana, Sanjay Raut, on Tuesday that those who left him are like rotten leaves shed for the benefit of the tree.

Speaking about his operation and protracted sickness, which Uddhav claims Shinde took advantage of, Uddhav stated that after his surgery, he could not even move.

"I will always live with this painful reality. I entrusted someone with the party, and gave him the status of number 2. I had trusted you (Shinde) to take care of the party, you broke that trust, that too when I was in the hospital," Uddhav said.

Some prayed for his recovery, while others prayed for his illness, according to Uddhav.

Smita Thackeray, the wife of Jaidev Thackeray (Uddhav's eldest brother), met Shinde on Tuesday and became the first member of the Thackeray dynasty to meet Shinde. Smita Thackeray and Jaidev Thackeray divorced in 2004.
