Political strategist-turned-activist Prashant Kishor on Thursday reacted to a viral clip of his interview with journalist Karan Thapar, saying "those who are rattled with my assessment of the outcome of the Lok Sabha election must keep plenty of water handy on June 4."

The Jan Suraaj leader in an interview with The Wire said that the BJP would win the Lok Sabha Polls with over 300 seats.

During the 55-minute interview, Kishor lost his cool when Karan Thapar questioned the election analyst on the wrong predictions during the Himachal Pradesh elections.

Soon after, internet users started sharing the screenshot of his previous X post where he predicted "Congress rout in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh".

"Drinking water is good as it keeps both mind and body hydrated. Those who are RATTLED with my assessment of outcome of this election must keep plenty of water handy on June 4th. PS: Remember, 02nd May, 2021 and #West Bengal!!" Kishor said in a post on X.

During the heated exchange with Thapar over predictions regarding Congress' loss in Himachal assembly polls, Kishor refuted Thapar's claims and kept asking for video proof.

He rejected news reports and went on to say that he would quit politics if Thapar brought video proof.

"If I have said Congress will be routed in Himachal in 2022, I am saying on camera on record I will quit what I do. But if you are wrong and trying to put your perception as my statement then please be man enough to say sorry about it," Kishor said during the interview.

He refused to accept news reports as proof of his past predictions claiming “newspapers can publish anything”.

“Newspapers can publish anything, but I challenge anyone to show where I have uttered such words. Show me the actual statements,” he added.

However, in a post on X, Kishor in May 2022 said, "I’ve been repeatedly asked to comment on the outcome of #UdaipurChintanShivir. In my view, it failed to achieve anything meaningful other than prolonging the status-quo and giving some time to the #Congress leadership, at least till the impending electoral rout in Gujarat and HP!"

Kishor has predicted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP returning to power with either the “same or slightly better numbers” in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls.
