Earlier this week, Prajwal released a video message in which he promised to appear before the SIT on May 31 and cooperate in the probe. The JD(S) MP's video message came amid reports that the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is in the process of canceling his diplomatic passport under the provisions of the Passports Act of 1967 and related regulations.
He said that the allegations were a political conspiracy against him amid the Lok Sabha elections season.
"On Friday 31st May at 10 am I will appear before SIT and provide all information related to the investigation. I will support the investigation. I have faith in the judiciary...," he said in the self-made video.
