Suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna on Wednesday moved a Bengaluru sessions court seeking anticipatory bail in the sexual assault case against him. This comes amid media reports suggesting that Revanna is likely to return to India on Friday, May 31.

Revanna, who is currently in Germany has reportedly booked a return flight ticket to Bengaluru from Munich on May 30.

So far, the sitting MP from Hassan has been booked in two cases of sexual assault.

Earlier this week, Prajwal released a video message in which he promised to appear before the SIT on May 31 and cooperate in the probe. The JD(S) MP's video message came amid reports that the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is in the process of canceling his diplomatic passport under the provisions of the Passports Act of 1967 and related regulations.

He said that the allegations were a political conspiracy against him amid the Lok Sabha elections season.

"On Friday 31st May at 10 am I will appear before SIT and provide all information related to the investigation. I will support the investigation. I have faith in the judiciary...," he said in the self-made video.

According to reports, the SIT is keeping a vigil at the Bengaluru's Kempegowda airport to arrest him as soon as he lands.

Revanna who is also NDA candidate on JD(S) ticket from Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, fled to a foreign country as soon as the news broke out that the Karnataka State Commission for Women has requested Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for probe into the huge cache of explicit videos showing several women being sexually assaulted by him.
