New Delhi: With the third phase of Uttar Pradesh elections to kick-start on Sunday where 2.41 crore voters are set to decide the fate of 826 candidates, BJP Chief Amit Shah on Saturday lashed out at UP CM Akhilesh Yadav questioning Why is Akhilesh still quiet over the crimes done by his MLAs.


While addressing the media, Amit Shah expressed his confidence in the UP saying, “I am confident that BJP will win 2/3rd majority in Uttar Pradesh”.

He also pointed fingers at Akhilesh MLAs who have been creating headlines on being accused of indulging in heinous crimes.

Senior SP leader has been accused of gang-raping a woman and her daughter. The Supreme Court ordered a registration of an FIR against senior SP minister after the same was being differed by the cops for very long.

The victim has accused Prajapati of sexually molesting her and her daughter. She also said that Prajapati threatened to tarnish her image by clicking obscene pictures of her.

Amit Shah while briefing media raised the issue of Prajapati saying, “Uttar Pradesh has become number one in the country when it comes to crime”.
