Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday will speak at the Naval Innovation and Indigenisation Organisation (NIIO) conference titled 'Swavlamban' in New Delhi, news agency PTI reported.

The PMO stated that achieving self-reliance in the defence industry is a crucial pillar of the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' (self-reliant India) agenda, and that Modi will reveal "SPRINT Challenges" during the event to support this effort.

The exercise aims to increase the use of indigenous technologies in the Indian Navy. The NIIO, in collaboration with the Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO), plans to induct at least 75 innovative indigenous technology and products into the Indian Navy as part of the 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.'
