Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a rousing welcome at the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters in the national capital. This comes a day after the Rajya Sabha passed the Women's Reservation Bill. PM Modi was welcomed by women party workers and leaders at the BJP central office extension. The PM was felicitated by the women party workers and leaders.


On Thursday, the Rajya Sabha passed the long-pending bill granting 33 percent reservation to women in Lok Sabha and state assemblies with 215 MPs voting in favour of the bill. The Upper House of Parliament underwent a day-long session discussing the 128th Constitution Amendment Bill, the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill.






One of the party workers present at the venue expressed her happiness over the passage of the 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam' and said that we had only heard about 33 percent reservation for so many years. "We are really happy on the passage of 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam' in the Parliament. We are happy because we are half the population and had only been hearing about 33 per cent reservation for so many years," the BJP worker said, as quoted by PTI.
