On the eve of Deepawali, Ayodhya will be witnessing the grand celebrations with projects worth Rs 4,000 crores set to be launched. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending the celebrations. He will pay a visit to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh on October 23, according to the PMO.
As many as 66 projects will be launched on the occassion of Diwali in Ayodhya.
PM Modi will attend Deepotsav at Ram Ji Ki Paidi on the eve of Diwali during his visit, news agency ANI reported.
He will also pay a visit to Shree Ram Janmbhoomi to seek Lord Ram's favour. PM Modi will inspect the Shree Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra site later.
PM Modi will attend the planned Aarti at New Ghat beside Saryuji in the late evening and will see green and digital fireworks.
The three-day Deepotsav begins on October 21 and will see the state government attempt to set a Guinness World Record by lighting 17 lakh diyas at Ram ki Paidi and other locations in Ayodhya.
On Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also visit Ayodhya to assess the state of preparations for the Deepotsav festivities. In addition, he will host a review meeting.
On the eve of Diwali, the administration in Ayodhya has increased the objective of burning earthen lights at the Ram Ki Paidi ghat from 14 lakh to 15 lakh on October 23. Another 3.6 lakh diyas will light up other portions of Ayodhya as well.
