New Delhi: After losing power to Congress in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing Bharatiya Janta Party MPs on Thursday. After this there will be a meeting with prime allies of the party. On the other hand party Chief Amit Shah will also hold a meeting with state unions and national executives.

Where on one hand Bharatiya Janta Party had to get disheartened in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, the future hopes on Telangana have also been crushed, as party could bag only one seat in the state. The number of seats this year is even lesser than 5 seats party bagged in 2013.

In North-Eastern state of Mizoram, the results have been as per BJP’s expectations. Even in Mizoram, the party could bag only one seat.

Although, it is a customary address by Prime Minister, which takes place during every parliament session, but this meeting becomes crucial considering the very recent performance by the party in the assembly election.

As per sources, the PM is also likely to separately mention the defeat faced by the party in the election. The PM is also likely to discuss the future strategy of the party, considering that 2019 Lok Sabha elections are not very far away.
