New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the hospital in Ahmedabad to meet his ailing mother, who has been admitted to UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre on Wednesday. Heeraba's condition is stable, the hospital said in a statement.

Several Gujarat ministers including Health minister Rushikesh Patel have come to the hospital. Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani and state chief secretary Kuniyil Kailashnathan have also arrived at the hospital.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, who is currently leading the Bharat Jodo Yatra, wished for Heeraben's good health.

"The love between a mother and a son is eternal and priceless. Modi ji, my love and support is with you in this difficult time. I hope your mother gets well soon," Rahul Gandhi tweeted.

This comes just a day after Modi's brother Prahlad Modi, was injured in a car accident in Karnataka's Mysuru on Tuesday. Prahlad Modi was on his way to Bandipur with his family, IANS had reported. Prahlad Modi's son Mehul, daughter-in-law, and grandson Menath, were with him at the time of the accident. NDTV reported they were travelling to Bandipura, along with his convoy, in a Mercedes-Benz SUV when it hit a divider.

PM Modi met with his mother during the recently concluded Gujarat Assembly elections. On December 4, a day before the second phase of polling in Gujarat, Modi went to his mother's residence in state capital, Gandhinagar where he sought his blessings before the polls.

Earlier, the PM spent time with Heeraben on her 100th birthday on June 18.
