New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday landed in Abu Dhabi for a two-day visit to the UAE. PM Modi received a warm welcome from UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan upon his arrival in Abu Dhabi. He was also accorded Guard of Honour. PM Modi and UAE President shared a great camaraderie, as both the leaders were seen sharing a hug.
A series of Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) were exchanged between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during a ceremony held in Abu Dhabi. The momentous event was graced by the esteemed presence of UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and PM Modi, ANI reported.
Today, PM Modi is slated to address the Indians in the country at Abu Dhabi's Zayed Sports City Stadium during the 'Ahlan Modi' event.
'Ahlan Modi' event garnered an overwhelming response, with more than 65,000 registrations flooding in. Jitendra Vaidya, President of the Indian People Forum and spearhead of the 'Ahlan Modi' initiative, expressed his elation at the unprecedented enthusiasm surrounding the event, reports ANI.
The Prime Minister will go to Doha in Qatar after his visit to the UAE ends. During his UAE visit, PM Modi will also inaugurate BAPS, the first Hindu stone temple in the country, as per PTI.
