PM Modi In Maharashtra: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Maharashtra’s Nashik on Friday to inaugurate the 27th National Youth Festival. Ahead of the event, he held a roadshow where the public cheered for him. Security has been tightened in the area as PM Modi also offered prayers at the Shree Kalaram Temple. He will also launch development projects in Maharashtra, collectively worth over Rs 30,500 crore.

The National Youth Festival, held annually from January 12 to 16 in commemoration of Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary, has the theme "Viksit Bharat@ 2047: Yuva ke liye, yuva ke dwara" this year. Union Minister Anurag Thakur noted the significant turnout of thousands of youths in Nashik for the festival, organised on Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary. CM Shinde and other dignitaries are expected to be present during the occasion.






PM Modi To Inaugurate Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link


In alignment with his vision to enhance people's ease of mobility by fortifying urban transport infrastructure and connectivity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Mumbai Trans-harbour link (MTHL). The bridge, now named 'Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewari-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu,' has been constructed at a cost exceeding Rs 17,840 crore, said in a statement. 


The prime minister had laid the foundation stone for the bridge in 2016.  


With a length of 16.5 km over the sea and approximately 5.5 km on land, it is not only the longest bridge in India but also the longest sea bridge in the country. The bridge is planned to be 21.8 km in total length and will feature six lanes.


The project will enhance connectivity to both Mumbai International Airport and Navi Mumbai International Airport, and reduce travel times between Mumbai and Pune, Goa, and South India. Additionally, it will contribute to the improved connectivity between Mumbai Port and Jawaharlal Nehru Port, according to a statement.

PM Modi To Inaugurate & Lay Foundation Stone For Projects In Navi Mumbai


PM Modi is set to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for multiple other projects at a public event in Navi Mumbai, including a groundbreaking 9.2 kilometre-long underground road tunnel connecting Eastern Freeway's Orange Gate to Marine Drive. The tunnel project has a budget exceeding Rs 8,700 crore and is expected to be a pivotal infrastructure development in Mumbai.


In addition to various initiatives, he will inaugurate the Surya regional bulk drinking water project's Phase 1, a venture with a budget exceeding Rs 1,975 crore. It will provide drinking water to the populations of Palghar and Thane districts in Maharashtra, benefiting around 1.4 million people.


Modi will also unveil multiple railway projects and will also inaugurate the 'Bharat Ratnam' (Mega Common Facilitation Centre) for the Gems and Jewellery sector at Santacruz Electronic Export Processing Zone- Special Economic Zone (SEEPZ SEZ). This centre, a first of its kind in India, is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, including 3D metal printing.


The facility will host a training school to skill the workforce in the Gems and Jewellery sector, extending its benefits to differently-abled students. The Mega CFC is anticipated to revolutionise the export sector in Gems and Jewellery trade, contributing to domestic manufacturing as well, according to the statement.


Chief Minister Eknath Shinde recently inspected the Navi Mumbai venue where the PM's public program will take place. Shinde also visited the Tapovan Ground in Nashik, the venue for the National Youth Festival, which will be inaugurated by PM Modi. During his visit, the CM examined the helipad at Nilgiri Baug ground, the route of the PM's road show, and the main stage of the function.
