Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday attended the NCC PM rally at the Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi.
During the annual rally in the national capital, the Prime Minister took a salute. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was also present at the event. Speaking at the rally, PM Modi laid emphasis on the inclusion of women in security forces and said that the number of women has more than doubled in the central security forces, and they are making a mark in every sector.
PM Modi also presented awards and medals to the NCC Cadets, at the annual rally.
During the event, PM Modi also made a mention of the Republic Day celebrations held on Friday in the national capital, saying that this year the nation is celebrating the 75th Republic Day at the Kartavya Path, and the celebration was women-centric. He praised the increasing participation of women and said that during Republic Day celebrations, we showed the world what a wonderful job India's daughters are doing.
"This year the nation is celebrating the 75th Republic Day... Yesterday, at the Kartavya path we saw that the celebration was women-centric. We showed the world what a wonderful job India's daughters are doing. We showed that India's daughters are achieving new heights in every field," the Prime Minister said.
