New Delhi: In continuation with the assistance to farmers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the ninth installment of financial benefit under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on Monday.


Modi will address the nation at 12:30 pm through video conferencing on the occasion and interact with the beneficiaries along with Union agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar.


The current release of funds will enable the transfer of more than Rs19,500 crore (195 million) to more than 9.75 crores (97.5 million) beneficiary farmer families, according to the official release from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) state.

What is PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?


Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 is given to farmers every year. The assistance is payable in three equal four-monthly installments of Rs2,000 each. These installments are deposited by the government in the bank accounts of the farmers under direct benefit transfer. The entire cost of this scheme is borne by the central government.


The fund is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. In this scheme, an amount of over Rs1.38 lakh crore has been transferred to farmer families so far, according to the statement.


The last installment was released on May 14. Under the 8th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, the financial benefit was disbursed to 90 million farm households.

  • In the next step, go to the Farmers Corner option on the homepage

  • Here you select the beneficiaries list option under the Farmer corner section

  • Then select your state, district, sub-district, block 

  • Click on Get Report

  • It will give you a complete list of beneficiaries of your village in which you can check your name.
