Petrol, Diesel price today: With the rupee strengthening against the dollar and a meltdown in international crude oil rates, the prices of both petrol and diesel were decreased today again. Petrol price in New Delhi saw a dip of 12 paise and is now being retailed at Rs 77.73 per litre, while diesel price was decreased by 16 paise and is now being sold at Rs 72.46 per litre.

While the prices of petrol and diesel in Mumbai today are Rs 83.24 per litre (decrease by Rs 0.16) and Rs 75.92 (decrease by Rs 0.13), respectively.

Fuel prices had earlier witnessed a relentless hike in the country, burning holes in commuters' pockets. The fuel costs were also reduced in the other states. The revised rates are mentioned below:

Petrol - Rs 83.24/litre

Fuel prices were last increased on 16 October. Since then daily prices have either remained static or have decreased. The state-run oil marketing companies have been reducing the prices of both petrol and diesel continuously for almost a month now.
