PM Modi calls meeting:

The government has finally paid heed to the ever rising fuel prices in the country as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called a meeting to discuss the economic condition in the state. The finance Minister Arun Jaitley is also going to be present in the meeting; along with some cabinet ministers.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday said that Government’s approach towards rising fuel prices is correct as “cutting off the excise duty on fuel will result in fiscal deficit”.
