New Delhi: During the time when the country is facing chaos and hurdles for basic transactions due to the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes; a few from the lot are focusing on the bigger picture and are patiently helping the sufferers, hoping for a silver lining around the dark cloud.

A dhaba owner in Maharashtra’s Akola gave away free of cost food on Sunday evening, as people are being inconvenienced as the money they had was no longer a legal tender after demonetisation .

As per the ‘dhaba’ owner, “People are worried these days, some ask if they will be provided food in case they give Rs 500/1000 notes. Thats when I decided to give away free food”.

Meanwhile a specially abled person who had to stand in the long queue to withdraw cash in Central Delhi’s ATM looked very patient unlike many of us and expressed his support for PM Narendra Modi’s move, saying “ It’s just a matter of few days, our future will be safe thereafter”. He added that “we have to support PM Modi”.

On Sunday, the cash withdrawal limit at ATMs was hiked to Rs 2,500 from Rs 2,000 a day.

The weekly limit of Rs 20,000 for withdrawal from bank counters has been increased to Rs 24,000. The maximum limit of Rs 10,000 per day on such withdrawals has been removed, the ministry said in a statement.

Seeking some time to ease down the out of control situation, PM Modi while addressing a public rally in Goa, made an impassioned plea to citizens to give him until December 30 to weed out the ill-gotten wealth in India.

"I know what kind of powers I have taken on. I know the kind of people who will be against me now. I am looting what they had accumulated over 70 years," Modi said at an indoor stadium in Bambolim village near Panaji.

"They will not leave me alive. They will destroy me. Let them do what they want. (For) 50 days, help me. The country should just help me for 50 days.

"This is not the end. I am openly saying, this is not a full stop... There are other projects in my mind to stop dishonesty and corruption," He added.
