Kashmir: Ahead Of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's all-party meet, sources have revealed that PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti will not take part in the meeting. According to the latest information, PDP will skip the meeting and Farooq Abdullah will represent the Gupkar alliance in the meet.


Mufti held a meeting with the PDP leaders on Sunday afternoon and it was decided that the party will not participate in the discussion with the Prime Minister.

The PDP chief said on Saturday that she is yet to receive a formal invitation by the PM to attend the meeting. 


"Yes, I've received a call but not a formal invitation yet. I'm holding a Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting tomorrow to discuss the same and take a decision on whether to participate or not in the meeting," Mufti said while speaking to news agency ANI.


Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh ahead of his all-party meet with the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir. This will be the first discussion of PM with the leaders of the valley after the abrogation of Article 370 two years ago.


 The high-level meeting to be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi is expected to set the road map for holding assembly elections in the Union Territory and a discussion of reinstating the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir.
