New Delhi: The Winter session of the parliament concluded a day before the schedule as a parliamentary source told news agency PTI that most of the legislative agenda was complete. However, the Rajya Sabha Chair Venkaiah Naidu showed his disappointment as he said that the session was below expectations and the members should introspect what went wrong.
Amid the protests for multiple reasons, a total of 11 bills were passed in the parliament from the 21 tabled. Among the tabled bills, 13 were newly introduced and six were from the previous session. The winter session that started on November 29 was scheduled to have 26 bills tabled.
According to the PRS website, the productivity of Lok Sabha was 77 percent, and that of the Rajya Sabha was 43 percent. The lower house functioned for 83.3 hours, and the upper house functioned for 45.6 hours.
The major Bills passed in the parliament in the winter session are as follows.

- The Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Bill, 2020
- The Surrogacy (Regulation) Bill, 2019
- The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (Amendment) Bill, 2021
- The Dam Safety Bill, 2019
- The High Court and Supreme Court Judges (Salaries and Conditions of Service) Amendment Bill, 2021
- The Delhi Special Police Establishment (Amendment) Bill, 2021 – Replaces an Ordinance
- The Central Vigilance Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2021 – Replaces an Ordinance
- The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Bill, 2021 – Replaces an Ordinance
- The Election Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2021
- The Appropriation (No.5) Bill, 2021
Apart from these, The Inter-State River Water Disputes (Amendment) Bill, 2019 was passed in the Lok Sabha and is pending in the Rajya Sabha.
Currently, the parliament has 33 pending bills at the end of the session. And a total of 13 bills were introduced in this session.
