Amid the ongoing chaos inside and outside the Parliament during the ongoing winter session, a video of Bharatiya Janata Party MP Hema Malini has now gone viral where she says that over 100 MPs from opposition parties have been suspended because they ask “too many” questions.
The week started with suspension of 78 MPs from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on Monday as the opposition created a ruckus demanding a statement by Union home minister Amit Shah on the December 13 Parliament security breach incident.
A day later, 49 more MPs from opposition parties were suspended from Lok Sabha taking the county of total MPs suspended to 141.
Answering a media query on the same, BJP MP from Mathura, Hema Malini said they were suspended because they ask "too many" questions.
"They keep raising questions and display strange behaviour. So, they have been suspended," she said while speaking to news agency ANI.
"If they have been suspended, it means they have done something wrong. Work should be done in accordance with Parliament rules. They don't do it and they have been suspended. There is nothing wrong in it, this is correct," she said further.
