New Delhi: Neelam, one of the two accused detained from outside the Parliament with colored smoke canisters, is a resident of Ghasso village in Haryana's Jind. Her father runs a sweet shop in Uchana.

She adheres to leftist ideology and has actively participated in the farmers' movement. Due to a lack of employment opportunities, she is also engaged in social activities.

Neelam (42), and Amol Shinde (25), of Maharasthra's Pune, were detained on Wednesday while they were protesting outside the Parliament building carrying cans that emitted a yellowish and red smoke, police said.

Neelam's younger brother told ANI, "We didn't even know that she went to Delhi. All we knew was that she was in Hisar for her studies...She had visited us the day before yesterday and returned yesterday. She has qualified BA, MA, B.Ed, M.Ed, CTET, M.Phil, and NET. She had raised the issue of unemployment several times and had also participated in farmers' protests."

The incident happened minutes after two people, identified as Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan, jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the visitors gallery and opened canisters that emitted a similar-coloured smoke, triggering a security scare as the House was in session.

According to sources, Manoranjan is an auto driver by profession.

The visitor gallery pass has been stopped till further order.

According to sources, the four accused were acquainted with each other beforehand and maintained continuous contact. Together, they conspired to ignite smoke sticks inside and outside the Parliament.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Neelam and Anmol were not carrying mobile phones, any bags, or identity proofs. They claimed that they reached the Parliament on their own and refused association with any organisation, ANI reported citing Delhi Police.

Delhi Police is forming a special team for interrogation, as per the report

Meanwhile, a team of the Intelligence Bureau has questioned Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan, according to ANI.

"We are going through their background. Sharma is a native of Mysore and pursuing engineering from a university in Banglore while other person is also from Mysore," ANI quoted an official as saying.

The official added that a team of IB along with the local police have reached the homes of the detained men for a detailed investigation, reported ANI.

"Their phones have been procured and they have been questioned over their links with any organization. The written material recovered from them have been seized for investigation," the official added.

According to the official, the team is in touch with multiple agencies who are out on the field to get more details about all four people who were detained for the security breach in Parliament.

"We have procured CCTVs of all check points from where they crossed before entering to visitors gallery," the official said.

Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla has called an all-party meeting today to discuss the security breach.

"Both of them have been nabbed and the materials with them have also been seized. The two people outside the Parliament have also been arrested by Police..." the Speaker told told members after the House reconvened at 2 pm.

According to PTI, after opening the gas canisters that emitted the smoke outside the Parliament building, the two protestors raised slogans such as "Tanashahi Nahi Chalegi" (dictatorship will not be allowed), "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and "Jai Bheem, Jai Bharat", the officials said.

The incidents came on a day when the nation is observing the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack. Terrorists of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed outfits attacked the Parliament complex on this day in 2001, killing nine people.
