New Delhi: The Pakistan Foreign office on Wednesday summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner J.P Singh over the alleged killing of a Pakistani civilian in cross-border firing.
According to reports, Foreign Office Spokesman Pakistan Nafees Zakaria in a statement cited that Director General (South Asia and SAARC) Mohammad Faisal summoned India's Deputy High Commissioner J P Singh.
Islamabad denounced the ceasefire violation which took place on the LoC in Khui Ratta sector on February 7.
As per allegations made by Pakistan, the firing by the Indian troops resulted in the death of a 25-year-old civilian. Reportedly, Pakistan has also asked New Delhi to respect the 2003 ceasefire understanding and sought investigation in the matter.
