Famous Punjabi singer, Sidhu Moose Wala has joined the Congress party in the presence of Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi and state Congress chief, Navjot Singh Sidhu. The singer is well known for his songs "Old Skool", “Legend", “Devil", “Just listen", “Tibeyan da putt", “Jatt da muqabala", and “Brown Boys" among others.
He also actively took part in the farmer's protests which are happening on the borders of Delhi.
"Sidhu Moosewala is joining our family. I welcome him in the Congress fold," Navjot Singh Sidhu told reporters.
An interesting fact about the singer is that he has a case registered against him under the Arms Act. He is charged with promoting violence and gun culture through his song 'Panj Golian'. He became famous through his song "so high" in 2017. He was also mentioned in Billboard Canadian Albums in 2018.
When asked about these charges, the Congress chief said that Registration of cases doesn't mean he's guilty. When Pointed he's accused of promoting gun culture, Sidhu said People will decide.
Sidhu Moosewala in his first press conference said, "This is my first press conference. Just three years back I started singing. Now four years later I am taking a new step. Mansa is not that developed... a part of this area raised me, so I will raise my voice from here."
