Odisha is experiencing extreme heatwave conditions with temperatures so high that one can took meal even without a stove.
New Delhi: India continues to reel under severe heatwave with several states recording a maximum temperature above 40 degrees Celsius. With deadly heatwave building across India and temperatures likely to sore in the days to come, public health experts warned the extreme heat so early in the year is particularly dangerous.
States such as Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal are expected to see hottest temperatures this summer. Odisha, too, is experiencing heatwave with temperatures so high that one can took meal even without a stove.
Proving the point, a video has gone viral on social media where a woman in Odisha's Sonepur can be seen making roti on the car bonnet under the sun. In the video, the lady was captured making roti on the bonnet of a car in scorching 40 degreee heat.
A Twitter user Nilamadhab Panda shared the video and wrote, "Scenes from my town Sonepur. It's so scorching that one might make roti on the automotive Bonnet."

Weather conditions in Odisha have become so extreme that it has forced state government to temporary suspension of classroom teaching in all higher education institutions from Wednesday.
Classroom teaching of both undergraduate and post graduate courses in all higher education institutions coming under the jurisdiction of the Higher Education Department of Odisha will remain suspended from April 27 to May 2.
According to Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, at least 27 places in Odisha have recorded a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius or above on Monday. Jharsuguda town of western Odisha recorded a maximum temperature of 40.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
Weather department has warned that the heatwave condition is likely to prevail at many places across the state during the next four-five days.
