NEW DELHI: As a reply to sacked AAP Minister Kapil Mishra’s indefinite fast, the party’s MLA, Sanjeev Jha, will sit on a hunger strike on Saturday.

The Burari MLA will start the strike by visitng Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial at Raj Ghat.

"Satyagraha against the lies of Kapil Mishra ji. Tomorrow I will start the strike. Meet me tomorrow at 11:00 am at Rajghat. Satyameva Jayate," Jha tweeted.

Reacting to Jha's announcement, Mishra said that everyone has right to protest.

I welcome Sanjeev Jha. He is also indulged in the same kind of 'bhakti' that I was once doing. He is my brother," Mishra said.

"I request police to provide security to Sanjiv Jha, those who can attack me can do anything to prove me wrong," he tweeted.

Mishra, who is on an indefinite hunger strike, is demanding that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) divulge details of foreign tours undertaken by five leaders of the party. AAP has, in turn, accused him of following a script penned by the BJP.

Mishra on Tuesday filed three complaints with the Central Bureau of Investigation against Kejriwal, his relatives and some AAP leaders including health minister Satyendar Jain.

He sought details about the foreign trips of Sanjay Singh, Ashish Khetan, Raghav Chadha, Satyendar Jain and Durgesh Pathak and threatened to go on a hunger strike if the AAP failed to do so.

He had also submitted to the ACB documents to back his allegations that Kejriwal had delayed a probe into a Rs 400-crore water tanker scam.
