NEW DELHI: Ahead of INC president Rahul Gandhi's speech during the no-confidence motion argument, the hashtag 'Bhookamp Aane Wala Hai' (An earthquake is coming) has been the top trend on Twitter India.




Gandhi, who will be leading the debate from the Congress in the Parliament has been given 38 minutes to present their arguments in the parliament.

The ruling BJP, which enjoys a majority in the House, has been given 3 hours and 33 minutes in the debate during the Monsoon session, which is scheduled for seven hours. To defeat the no-confidence motion, the BJP would require to gain a mark of 268 votes. The NDA at present counts 312 members in the 535-member Lok Sabha, including 274 of the BJP.

On Twitter, BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav pointed out that the Congress had been allotted more time than the mover of the motion TDP, who has been given only 13 minutes by the Speaker.


He was referring to the Congress chief's earlier remarks that if he spoke, there would be an earthquake in the House. Rahul had said that if were given 15 minutes to speak in Parliament, PM Modi would not able to stand.

While Union minister Giriraj Singh said, "Get ready to enjoy the earthquake."


BJP social media in-charge Amit Malviya also shared a clip and photo with cations where he wrote 'The last few times Rahul Gandhi spoke in Parliament, it was ‘memorable’... Today will be another day!'




Earlier, Shiv Sena announced that it will not be taking part in the voting process of the no-confidence motion. he Biju Janata Dal (BJD) members also walked out of the Lok Sabha .
