Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will appear in front of the Enforcement Directorate today. Meanwhile, senior Congress leaders will hold a march in Delhi and others will hold ‘Satyagrah’outside ED offices in different states. The ED has summoned Rahul Gandhi in a money laundering case related to the National Herald case. As per sources, Gandhi is supposed to reach the ED office in new Delhi by 10:30 am.
Meanwhile, the Delhi police have detained Congress leaders who were holding protests outside the Congress head office this morning. Earlier, the police denied them permission to hold the protest.
Sources also said that he might leave from 10 Janpath or the adjoining Congress head office with his mother Sonia Gandhi by 10 am. He will be accompanied by many senior Congress leaders including Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and Chhatisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel.
Congress has been calling this investigation a political vendetta and will hold protests across the country today, the biggest one in Delhi with Congress leaders present between the ED office and Congress head office.
Most of the leaders will be present at the Congress head office. After that, on the one-and-a-half-kilometer way to the ED office, three points will be occupied by the congress leaders namely Motilal Golchakkar, Mann Singh Golchakkar, and Taj Mann Golchakkar.
They will include leaders from Congress, Youth Congress, NSUI, Mahila Congress, and party workers from UP, Haryana, and Rajasthan, who have been asked to gather with the party flag.
Though the party has assured that it will be a peaceful protest. As per Congress’ preparations, the roads around the Akbar road rebound to face traffic jams.
Rahul Gandhi was summoned by the ED on June 2, however, he requested another date as he was out of the country at the time.
