New Delhi: UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday arrived in Gujarat's Ahmedabad to take part in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi received him at the Ahmedabad airport and the two held a roadshow together from the airport to Gandhinagar.


The UAE president is the chief guest at the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) which will be inaugurated by PM Modi at Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre in Gandhinagar on Wednesday.









People in large numbers welcomed PM Modi and the UAE President in Ahmedabad.






PM Modi welcomed the UAE President by calling him his "brother" and said that it is an honour to have the UAE leader in India.


"Welcome to India, my brother, HH @MohamedBinZayed. It's an honour to have you visit us," PM Modi said in a post on X.






Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra, and senior officials were also present at the airport.


A bilateral meeting was also held between PM Modi and UAE President where several MoUs were signed.


"Strengthening ties! Multiple MoUs inked between India and UAE witnessed by PM @narendramodi and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. A testament to the enduring partnership and shared commitment," Gujarat Information Department shared on its official X handle.


Apart from the UAE President, other leaders including Timor Leste President Jose Ramos-Horta will also attend the Vibrant Gujarat Summit.


After inaugurating the summit on Wednesday, Modi will hold a meeting with CEOs of top global corporations.
