New Delhi: In a fresh incident of mob-lynching a youth was beaten to death over allegations of mobile-theft in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur.

The SSP of Muzaffarpur has said that the victim had faced allegations of mobile theft previously too.  He added that police is looking into the matter and action will be taken against the perpetrators.

Angered by the incident of lynching, people staged demonstrations in the area. As per reports they blocked the Bairia bus stand road and staged protests with fire, leading to long queue-up of vehicles.

As per the locals, it was a deliberate incident given an angle of mobile-theft. The family members of the victim have also alleged that the boy was murdered deliberately over an old controversy of eve-teasing.
