American author Kathleen McGowan has rightly said “The only thing sweeter than union is reunion.” Happiness knew no bounds for this Muslim family from Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, as their teenage daughter reunited with them after 15 years in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
The girl Fatima was just two-and-a-half-years old when she went missing from near the Mecca Masjid where her parents had visited to offer obeisance.
However, what’s more inspiring now is that the girl is now named Swapna and is a staunch devotee of Sai Baba.
The reunion took place when two cops in Hyderabad visited a child welfare home in the city to make inquiries as part of an anti-trafficking and rescue project.

They found the girl in the child welfare home and upon further probe found that a missing report had been filed in 2005.
The genuineness of the missing complaint was out after they called Kurnool native Khwaja Moinuddin, who happened to be the girl’s father. In addition, the mother of the girl also correctly identified the identification marks of the missing child.
Hussain was in tears as he recalled the events of the fateful day. The family had camped in Hyderabad for months in search of their missing daughter but in vain and eventually they returned to Kurnool after losing all hope. However, fortune finally smiled on this family.
