New Delhi: Mumbai Police’s quirky tweets on road safety and awareness are more impactful than those posted by its counterparts in other cities. The latest tweet that has caught the attention of tweeps was of the recent UEFA Champions League semi-final football match between Liverpool and Barcelona.

The Mumbai Police quite effectively made use of the fourth goal in the match during which Barcelona was caught off guard as Trent Alexander-Arnold delivered a corner kick before any of the players were set. Divock Origi came through with a perfect finish to put Liverpool up 4-0 in the game.

In its quick-witted post that has collected over 5.5k retweets, Mumbai Police said, “Be it the road to a final, or way back home - being distracted cost dear even to the mightiest. It can cost you dearly too. #SafetyGoals #LIVBAR”.

The tweet also contained the visuals of the goal and opened the floodgates to a huge stack of comments in which some of them believed it was a way to troll Barca. Many other reckoned the video was similar to KXIP skipper R Ashwin trying the infamous 'Mankad' technique to dismiss Rajasthan Royals' Jos Buttler.
