Navi Mumbai Metro Trial: People of Navi Mumbai will also be able to travel by metro train soon. The Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) of Indian Railways is going to launch the metro oscillation trials today from here. Navi Mumbai Metro is proposed to be commissioned by the end of this year. The trial run is being conducted to improve its safety and travel quality. 


The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) wrote in a tweet on Tuesday, "RDSO is going to start oscillation trials of Metro from August 28 on Metro Line 1 from Pendhar Station to Central Park Station ." In a tweet, CIDCO said, "The elevated corridor under the Navi Mumbai Metro is being built by us. Through these, many nodes will be interconnected and public transport will improve."



 Four of its elevated corridors are being constructed by CIDCO under Navi Mumbai metro project. There are plans to open them for public use immediately after the trial. 


Trial run to be conducted from Pendhar station to Central Park station


These trial runs are extremely important before starting the metro service for the public. Meanwhile, the research team of Indian Railways will examine the brake system, track, and safety of the metro train. The trial run will be conducted for a distance of 5.14 km from Pendhar station to Central Park station. 


Navi Mumbai Metro project to be completed in four phases


Navi Mumbai metro project has been divided into four phases. The first one starts from Belapur railway station and ends at Pendhar station near Taloja. 11 metro stations have been built on this 11.10 km long route. The second phase of Navi Mumbai Metro will connect Khandeshwar and Taloja MIDC, while Pendhar and Taloja MIDC will be connected as per the third phase plan. In addition, in the fourth and final phase, Khandeshwar will be connected to Navi Mumbai International Airport near Panvel.
