New Delhi: The Mumbai court on Sunday granted bail to gangster Chhota Rajan's close aide and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) leader Nilesh Paradkar. The court has ordered the accused to attend the police station for seven days and submit his passport, ANI reported citing police officials.

 

Mumbai police said that the accused was arrested from the Chembur area, where he was celebrating Chhota Rajan's birthday, and was presented to court today. According to the police, Paradkar had several cases registered against him.

 




"Police registered a case & arrested gangster Chhota Rajan's close aide from the Chembur area, who was celebrating his birthday. Gangster's close aide Nilesh Paradkar had many cases against him. He will be presented in court today," Mumbai Police told ANI.






Paradkar on Friday celebrated underworld don Chhota Rajan's birthday along with his associates in the Chembur area of ​​Mumbai. They cut his birthday cake with 'big boss' written on it.

 

The underworld don Rajan is currently in prison as a trial under various cases against him is pending.


The Shiv Sena leader shared photos of Chhota Rajan's birthday celebration on social media. Paradkar is also an accused along with Chhota Rajan in many cases.


Paradkar has been made Navi Mumbai's liaison chief by Uddhav Thackeray.


Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police have arrested six people, including an organiser of a kabaddi programme for putting up posters celebrating gangster Chhota Rajan's birthday on Saturday and Sunday.


The underworld don was deported to India after being arrested in 2015 from Bali in Indonesia. Since then, he has been lodged in Tihar jail in Delhi.




In 2018, Rajan was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of journalist J Dey in 2011.
