New Delhi: In the poll-bound Uttar Pradesh, the fight in Mulayam Singh Yadav's family is taking new twists and turns every day.

The battle which started between Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav has now reached till the doors of CM's stepmother and second wife of Netaji, Sadhna Gupta.

Party legislator and another supporter of Akhilesh Yadav, Udayveer Singh (an MLC), accused Mulayam Singh's second wife of being part of the conspiracy against Uttar Pradesh CM and said the party patriarch needed to make way for his son.

The four-page letter of the MLC marked a major escalation. Udayveer Singh was elected from the SP-stronghold of Etah-Mainpuri.

Udayveer has directly put the blame of conspiracy on Sadhna Gupta and wrote in his letter that the efforts to dishonour Akhilesh began after Mulayam proposed his name for the CM's post of the state.

What letter exactly reads:

With a subheading-- "Personal jealousy against CM"-- a part of the letter reads, "As this information came out in the open that you want Akhilesh to become the CM of the state, conspiracies started within the family. Although Akhilesh's step-mother herself remained behind the picture, Shivpal came forward as her political face. He started contacting senior party leaders to prevent this."

The Akhilesh supporter further alleged that Mulayam Singh, under pressure from the anti-Akhilesh group, pulled up the CM several times in full public view. But being an obedient son, Akhilesh never reacted.

The letter also sought restoration of expelled leaders and full power to the present CM Akhilesh Yadav to run the Samajwadi party. It referred to the precedent set by the party earlier.

"When you (Mulayam Singh) were chief minister, you had the power to take all decisions related to the party. Likewise, you should consider giving full control to Akhilesh Yadavji," the letter concludes.
