New Delhi: The four-year-old girl who was allegedly raped in Satna district on Sunday, will be airlifted to Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for medical treatment. The victim was admitted to a hospital in Satna in a critical condition after she was allegedly abused and brutalised by the accused.

According to a report, the girl was raped and dumped at a secluded place by the accused who took her away when she was sleeping in the courtyard of her house. Later when the family and other people searched for the minor, she was found in a bad shape in the Parasmania area of the district.

As per the report, the accused was known to the victim's family. The girl's father was out for some work, in the meantime, the accused took the girl with him to nearby Panna village and raped her. He left her there in the injured condition and went back to his home in Parasmania village, the police said.

When the victim's father returned home, he did not find his daughter. He then gathered some villagers and went to the residence of the accused and confronted him over the whereabouts of his daughter. The accused then took them to the spot where he had left the girl. The child was then rushed to a nearby hospital from where she was referred to the district hospital in Satna.

The accused has been booked under various sections of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The further investigation into the matter is underway. Madhya Pradesh Congress president and former Union minister Kamal Nath has strongly condemned the incident.
