New Delhi: Lok Sabha MP Kunwar Danish Ali has alleged that he received a threatening call at his office in Delhi on Tuesday. A complaint has been lodged from Ali's office at the Tilak Marg police station, an official said on Wednrsday, reported PTI.

As per the complaint, an unidentified individual made repeated calls to the MP's office number on Tuesday from 8 pm to 8.30 pm. The caller allegedly asked if it was Danish Ali's office and proceeded to use threatening and abusive language after confirmation by Ali's secretary.

"A call from the same number was received on the personal mobile number of Ali, which was not responded to as the MP was in a meeting," the complaint to police by Ali's personal secretary read, reported PTI.

Ali also addressed the incident in a post on X, "How much will you try to scare? Yesterday someone called my office and tried to intimidate me and threatened to kill me. What kind of frustration is this? "A person who believes in Indian democracy cannot do this. Such anti-social elements want me not to tell the truth! This is a little difficult."

It is to be noted that Ali was recently suspended by BSP for alleged anti-party activities.

“You were warned many times against statements or actions against the policies, ideology and discipline of the party. But, despite that you have continuously been acting against the party,” the BSP had said in a statement.
