Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, was travelling in a helicopter when a mechanical issue occurred, necessitating a 136.6 km road trip from Bankhedi in the Hoshangabad district to Seoni Malwa town on Tuesday, news agency PTI reported.

“I apologise to you for not reaching Seoni Malwa on time to be in your midst as the helicopter developed some technical snag at Bankhedi,” the CM said in a video message.

Chouhan, who recorded the message while driving, stated that the 'Jan Darshan' show, in which he was scheduled to participate, had been cancelled owing to the delay.

“But I will not go back without meeting you all and will reach the venue of the meeting soon,” Chouhan said.
