New Delhi: The monsoon session of Parliament is likely to be held from July 18 to August 12. According to top sources, the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, headed by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, has recommended that the monsoon session be held between July 18 and August 12, 2022. The upcoming session is likely to have 17 working days. During the session, elections for the President and Vice President are likely to be held.


The central government has started preparations for the monsoon session of Parliament. According to sources, a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, headed by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, was held in this regard. In this, it was recommended to hold the monsoon session of Parliament from 18 July to 12 August. However, these dates are yet to be finalised.


This monsoon session of Parliament is going to be special as the voting for the Presidential election is on 18th July. The session will last for 17 days as a total of 17 working days are falling between July 18 and August 12. In this session, the government can introduce many bills in the house. These include 4 bills sent to the parliamentary committee during the budget session.


Congress can surround the government with Enforcement Directorate's action on Rahul and Sonia, inflation, unemployment and other important issues. 


Several bills, including at least 4 bills sent for parliamentary scrutiny in the last budget session, will be brought up for passage in the monsoon session.
