New Delhi: A day before the the monsoon session begins, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi has called an all-party meeting at 11 am on July 18. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has called an all-party meeting of floor leaders on July 18.



Bharatiya Janata Party's Parliamentary Party Executive meeting is scheduled to be held on July 18. NDA floor leaders meet is also scheduled for the same day. 


Monsoon Session of Parliament will start from July 19 to August 13, and will run for 19 business days. The timings of the session will be from 11 am to 6 pm for both the Houses.


Keeping in mind the ongoing Covid pandemic, the session will take place in both the Houses pf Parliament with all necessary protocols and arrangements to accommodate members of Parliament (MPs) on a social distancing basis. All members and media will be allowed as per Covid protocol and RTPCR test will not be mandatory.


The Monsoon session usually starts in the third week of July and concludes ahead of 15 August. However, last year, it had started in September due to the pandemic situation.


Due to the novel Coronavirus, three sessions of Parliament have got curtailed in past one year while the Winter Session last year was completely cancelled.
