New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the path breaking reforms initiated and executed by the BJP-led NDA government under his leadership on completion of the first year of his second term in office at the Centre.


According to the UP Chief minister, Modi’s first year in office after getting re-elected as the PM was underlined by ‘historic reforms and achievement’ for the nation. He also said that the Modi 2.0 government is a firm believer of what the prime minister preaches and advocates via his national pitch of  ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’.


In a report by news agency, ANI, Adityanath said “the BJP has completed its first year of the second term under the glorious leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”


He also added that while the first tenure of the prime minister which lasted from 2014-2019 was focussed on making India an economic superpower. The second tenure which began from 2019 and will continue till 2024 will look at creating consolidating the country or creating an ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’.


This included the measures that were taken after Modi was elected to power for a second term i.e. triple talaq bill, abrogation of article 370 that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir and the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act which will grant citizenship to non-Muslims from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.


Adityanath praised these measures and the verdict on Ram Janambhoomi which came out in 2019. According to it the decision the land was ordered to be handed over to build a Hindu temple.


The minister also hailed the measures taken to control the coronavirus in India including the support given to different stakeholders who are dealing with the pandemic. Other BJP Leaders such as BJP President JP Nadda has also praised the Prime Minister's accomplishments. Nadda also said that the  Modi government's second term had been a year of accomplishments and unimaginable challenges that it faced with bold and timely decisions.
