New Delhi: BSP Chief Mayawati, who turned 63 on Tuesday, chose a unique way of celebrating her special day. Mayawati, who is popularly known as behenji addressed a press conference and lashed out at both Bharatiya Janta Party and Congress and accused them of not fulfilling their promises made to the farmers and poor of the country.

She lashed out at Congress saying, “The loan waiver that Congress has promised to the farmers will do no good to them and a complete waiver of farmer loan should be done”. She further added “A strong policy should be drafted for the loan waiver of the farmer”.

She further said “We have always worked for the poor and the down trodden. The government should give 100% farm loan waiver else farmer suicides will continue. A strong farm loan waiver policy should be made”.

She further accused PM Modi of making tall promises to people only because Lok Sabha elections are upcoming. “Modi has been doing a lot of rallies all over the country and has been making promises keeping the elections in mind”.

She also welcomed the recent move by the government of giving 10% reservations to the financially backward upper castes.

Mayawati later met Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav who extended his best wishes to her and gifted her shawl and flowers.
