Fire Reported Near Tirupati's Sri Govindarajaswamy Temple
Initial reports suggest the blaze was sparked by a short circuit. The fire rapidly spread, engulfing nearby pandals and material stalls erected for the ongoing temple activities. Eyewitnesses reported scenes of chaos as devotees scrambled to safety amid rising flames and thick smoke.
Two fire tenders were swiftly deployed to the spot, and firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control before it could reach the temple premises. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.
On Thursday, fire broke out at a rubber manufacturing facility located in Katedan industrial zone, within the Rajendranagar area of Rangareddy district of Hyderabad. Although the fire triggered widespread panic as flames and thick smoke billowed into the sky, authorities confirmed that there were no casualties.
The fire occurred at Shivam Rubber Factory, known for producing rubber mats for automobiles. Officials noted that the large stockpile of rubber on-site contributed to the intensity of the fire and the dense column of smoke that spread through the surrounding area.
Firefighters arrived swiftly at the scene, deploying four fire engines to tackle the inferno. Initial estimates suggest the property loss exceeds Rs 10 lakh. Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
