A massive fire broke out in an oil godown located in Hyderabad's Tolichowki at 8:30 pm on Friday. However, it took 10 hours to extinguish the fire which was brought under control by 6:00 am today. At least 12 fire engines were used to douse the massive fire. As per the Hyderabad district Fire Officer Srinivas Reddy, no casualties were reported in the incident.


In the video of the fire incident that surfaced online,  massive flames of fire can be seen engulfing the building as thick plumes of black smoke billow into the sky. Fire tenders can be seen at the spot to control the fire. Several people can also be seen standing at the spot as the building goes up in flames.






As per TOI's report, the incident led to a huge jam on the Tolichowki-Nanalnagar route.


In another similar incident that occurred in Delhi's Shahdara area on Thursday, two children and a married couple were charred to death after a massive fire broke out in a residential building in the capital's Shastri Nagar area.


The deceased were identified as Manoj (30), his wife (28), and two girls aged three and five years. Around nine people, including two children were also rescued and sent to the nearby hospital. 


As per DCP Shahdara the Geeta Colony Police Station was informed about the fire at around 5:30 am, following which the fire brigade, ambulance, local police, and PCR vans rushed to the spot. 


As per police, the fire was said to have been caused after cars caught fire in the circuit room in the underground parking.
