Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on the 92nd episode of his monthly radio broadcast, Mann Ki Baat.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the innovative measures carried out through the Harr Ghar Tiranga programme on Independence Day.
Addressing the radio talk, PM Modi stated: "On the special occasion of Amrit Mahotsav & Independence Day, we saw the collective might of the country." PM Modi urged viewers to watch the Doordarshan programme Swaraj, which celebrates the efforts of liberation warriors.
Highlighting the construction of Amrit Sarovars, PM Modi said: "The construction of Amrit Sarovars has become a mass movement. Commendable efforts can be seen across the country."
"'Amrit Dhara' of 'Amrit Mahotsav' flowing in all corners of country in this month of independence," he said.
Speaking about Jal Jeevan mission, PM Modi said: "It is playing great role in making country malnutrition free. I urge all of you to take part in efforts to remove malnutrition. We've to come together to increase awareness about use of millets which is beneficial for people of country & for small farmers."

In his last Mann Ki Baat on July 31, Modi thanked Indian athletes for achieving "exceptionally well" at a number of international competitions and said that sports had been quite active this month.
Ace shuttler P V Sindhu won the Singapore Open for the first time, and Neeraj Chopra extended his outstanding form by winning the silver medal for India at the World Athletics Championship.
As India celebrated 75 years of independence, Modi said in a speech on the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" that Indians should perform their duties with entire devotion and referred to the upcoming 25 years of Amrit Kaal as "Kartavyakaal," or an age of duty for every citizen.
“Only then will we be able to fulfill the dream of those countless freedom fighters and to build the India of their dreams,” he said.
